Amendment Ten Acrostic Poem

Amendment Ten was ratified on December 15, 1791

Madison, James wrote this amendment

Even though it is ink on a paper, it is VERY important

Nine other amendments added up equals the Tenth Amendment

Decades and decades, America have been using the Bill of Rights since 1791, so 225 years!

My belief on what this amendment protects is Americans from big, intrusive federal government action

Every amendment was included in the Bill of Rights for a reason, this one was because it defines the balance of power between the federal government and the states

Nobody wrote this for no reason, this amendment was used to define the federal taxing power, federal regulations, and federal police power

The Tenth Amendment says,”The powers not delegated  to the U.S. by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.”

The Bill of Rights is a document made up of 27 amendments

Explaining it, this amendment means that anything the Constitution does not mention can be considered by states as part of their powers if they wish to do so

Not everyone understands what this amendment is saying, so an easier way is,”States have the power to govern as long as there is no conflict with federal law.”
