Child Labor in Textile Mills

Most kids hate to go to school, well some would say that they would agree, some would disagree for the following. Back in the Industrial Revolution, kids were forced to work in the textile mills. “Huh, big deal, they get payed REAL money.” Yeah, they get payed, a few cents a day, for working 12 to 14 hours a day. To add on to that, that job is SO dangerous. Many people get injured, and some… DIE! Die for working, crazy right?! They get burned, crushed, suffocated, and more. They get coughs and diseases and can’t go to the doctor because 99% of the time they can’t afford it! Some kids get aches from leaning over 13 hours a day. Child labor is horrible! So when you next go to school, think about the length, mine is 7 hours and 30 minutes, compared to 13 hours. Also, by working in the textile mills, you don’t learn anything, that’s the purpose of school! Child labor to me isn’t fair at all!
